Meet  Cheiko...He has been living in my home since he was a few weeks old.  He is an 11 year old Chihuahua that loves   However, my husband and I had a baby boy in May 2008 so "momma's lap" has been replaced.  We've tried to keep Cheiko and continue to let him know he is part of the family but he has no patience for our baby.  Our son will be walking in the next month or so and we fear that Cheiko will not like the attention of the baby and may snap at him.  Cheiko loves to be loved but he is a typical Chihuahua with typical temperament.  We have placed up baby gates but I do not think it's fair for him to not be able to be "part of the family".  He doesn't understand why he's been pushed aside.  Like I said, he's 11 years old, but he still loves to play and go to the lake with us.  He loves to play in the yard and bask in the sun.  He is housebroken.  He had a Sharpei brother that he got along with but otherwise he does not tolerate other dogs well... He would probably prefer being the only dog....  She would make a great companion for an older person or a mature couple.  I would suggest no small children in the home.  He is neutered and he received all of vaccinations on March 17, 2009.  He has been going to the same vet for the duration of his life.  This vet has all of his medical records and knows Cheiko very well.  Vet Reference required.  Please contact Carrie at carrieoke@mac.com to meet our "little guy".
