Carla and Carlos are brother and sister. They were rescued on May 3rd. They were dewormed that day, and on may 5th and 6th they were treated for coxidia parasites. When rescued they were covered in an oily substance that took several days of bathing to remove. They were bottle and hand fed for weeks as they were only a few days old when rescued.  They now eat Purina Kitten Chow and are litter box trained. They love to play and are affectionate as well. They are a bit smaller than normal due to the conditions they were in when rescued. They are doing very well now and are getting fat.

There is an adoption fee that applies to the kittens that helps pay for their medicines and vet visits.

Meet Callie is a German Shepherd/Lab mix. Callie is around 4 years old and was found as a stray, we suspect she was abused but is now confident and happy. She is spayed and up to date on all shots as well as on Sentenal heartworm preventative and K9 Advantix (during mosquito and tick season). She has a clean bill of health with no physical problems whatsoever. Callie is a bit on the heavy side as she is a master beggar (this can be easily remedied as she loves to run around outside and chase squirrels). But she is not food-aggressive with people at all. She will sit calmly and beg silently. If you don't feed her, she goes away without a problem, so no worrying about a big dog trying to steal your food! Callie is a true lady, she has beautiful manners. She doesn't jump up on people at all, nor does she lick all over them either. There aren't words enough to describe how gentle and sweet Callie is with people. She loves nothing better than to be around people, especially spending time outside with her people. She loves "her" people so much that she doesn't really like having to share them with other dogs, so she needs to be the only dog. Other dogs (outside of her family/home) she doesn't have a problem with. She hasn't had much experience with cats, though every time she sees one she likes to get really close and sniff at it which doesn't seem aggressive but I can't say for certain she is cat-friendly. Callie is wonderful with older children and is very patient. Please consider giving this beautiful girl a second chance. Contact Maria at mcpardue@gmail.com or (205) 668-7511
