Health issues -

1. Has a bacterial infection in right ear. We have been treating it but it hasn’t healed.

2. Has hip or leg problem - by the time we got the money for the x-rays, another dog of ours severely broke it’s leg which we are still paying for. Still not sure of exact problem.

Dreamer is a great, friendly dog. He has the heart of a fighter. When we first got him from the animal shelter we found out he had Parvo. He battled his way through and finally recovered. Just about this time ended up getting Kennel Cough. But he soon recovered from that as well. We were so happy that he was well again. That wasn't the end though. Within a month or so he had developed a case of Mange (which attacks the skin and causes all the hair to start falling out). This new disease had Dreamer fighting for his life. We had to to wear masks and robes when caring for him. Dreamer fought his way through all of these though. And he still had a wonderful, loving attitude through it all. He's been nicknamed “Licker” because he loves to lick you when showing affection.   Now, about 4 years later he's got a problem with his legs or hips. We're not sure which one it is, but we know that he can make it through with the right care and devotion. We were planning on taking x-rays and beginning treatment, but unfortunately another dog fell and broke it's leg. We're still paying for the treatment of that leg, and we just don't have the funds to help Dreamer right now. We really want him to get better though.

Dreamer has always been a very energetic dog. But lately his hips have hurt him, so, he's not allowed to do some of the things he loves to do. He loves to run and chase squirrels, wrestle, play tug-a-war, swim, take walks and just play. Now, when we take him for walks he has to be on a leash to keep him from injuring his legs any further. Dreamer likes to lay around and watch nature also. As long as his bed is next to a window, he's happy. We have pills to relieve some of his pain.

Dreamer has also started growling. His growl is not a dangerous growl though. He growls when other animals are playing rough near him in order to warn them of his sore legs.

He's also great with kids and other animals, as long as they are careful with him.

Please give Dreamer a second chance. He needs someone who can get him the help he needs. Then you will have a very loving energetic friend!

**It would be wonderful for he and sweetheart to be able to find a home together. For more information contact Anthony at bnkergd@hotmail.com for more information.  We love Dreamer but cannot afford to give him the care he needs.  Please give him a second chance you will be rewarded with a very loving companion.
