Morris is a very sweet-natured male cat who showed up in my back
yard last summer (2007). He was not neutered at the time and had
been fighting (he had a bad wound on his foreleg which was infected).
I took him to the vet, got him cleaned up, had him neutered, full shots,
and tested for feline diseases. At that time, the vet informed me
that Morris tested positive for FIV. Therefore, he needs a home in
which he is kept indoors and away from other male felines. FIV is
not transmittable to humans but is commonly spread to other cats through
male fighting behavior (bite wounds). Morris loves to be petted
and will cuddle in your lap. He gets along very well with female
cats and children (I have a four-year-old son and have never had any
problems with him and Morris). Morris probably would not do well
in a home with dogs. He is a wonderful, gentle and sweet
personality who desperately needs a loving home away from other males.
I would love to keep him except that I already have 6 other cats,
including another FIV-positive male who Morris fights with (Leo).
