If you are interested in adopting an animal from Alabama Animal Rescue, please fill out the application and press the 'SUBMIT' button at the bottom of this page. Please fill out all of the information.

Once your application has been reviewed, someone will contact you. You may mail this application. To mail the application, please print, fill in, and mail to Alabama Animal Rescue, c/o Rosemary Chesser, 45 Hunters Trace, Pelham, AL 35124.

If an animal has not been altered, Alabama Animal Rescue requires that all animals over 6 months of age must be altered within 30 days of the adoption. Failure to alter the animal, AAR has the right to revoke the adoption and reclaim the animal. If you would like to be placed on a waiting list for a specific breed, please fill out the application and you will be put on our breed waiting list.

Why do you want to adopt this animal

As with any rescue animal, AAR animals may not be housebroken, may have been abused in the past, or may have treatable medical problems. In some cases, these problems may not be realized until after the dog has been placed in it's new home. If you are approved for adoption, are you willing to work with your new pet to give it the new life it deserves? 

Do you understand and accept that changing an animal's environment may cause the animal to have accidents, especially in the early days of the adoption?

I understand that there is no guarantee made or implied that any person requesting to adopt an animal will be allowed to adopt. All decisions on adoptions are subjected to the approval of Alabama Animal Rescue or the Adopting Rescue Group. I understand that if I do adopt, I agree to the terms and conditions established by Alabama Animal Rescue. I agree that any animal that I adopt will be spayed or neutered. I agree to allow Alabama Animal Rescue to contact my current or previous veterinarians as deemed necessary in order to check my current or past records. I agree to provide annual immunization as required by the State of Alabama.
